“My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalms 73:26

Every person has at sometime walked in this very weighty, painful and desolate place the psalmist describes. “My flesh and my heart fail”, as if to say “I’m at the end of my rope, I don’t think I can take it anymore. My heart feels like it’s been so trampled by a herd of buffalo and surely they don’t stop. The strength of my physical body, my ability to keep doing your will, O God, and to stay your course, and to even get out of bed, is found wanting. Help, O my God!!!”When “my flesh and my heart FAIL” – Psalms 73:26

Fiery, reckless, uncontrollable passion… for God

“I have prayed for new men, fiery, reckless men, possessed of uncontrollably youthful passion – these lit by the Spirit of God. I have prayed for new words, explosive, direct, simple words. I have prayed for new miracles. Explaining old miracles will not do. If God is to be known as the God who does wonders in heaven and earth, then God must produce for this generation. Lord, fill preachers and preaching with Thy power. How long dare we go on without tears, without moral passions, hatred and love? Not long, I pray, Lord Jesus, not long … ” – Jim Elliot, pictured above (right)

What do we pray for? Are they prayers of FAITH? Provision, health, security, and such. Give us our daily bread? Yes, but what is our Daily Bread? It is nothing less than the Bread of Life, the LIFE of CHRIST in us, and a fiery, reckless, uncontrollable passion to see God’s will accomplished but the Spirit of God through His earthen vessels… you and me.Fiery, reckless, uncontrollable passion… for God

Revisionist Reformation

Contrary to popular belief, the Reformation did not start with Luther, nor is it encapsulated with Luther. Many before that date (hundreds of years earlier) were engaged in this act of reformation and were tortured and killed AT THE HANDS OF CATHOLICS, AND LATER PROTESTANTS because of this violent pursuit of the Kingdom of God.

Michael Sattler, to me, personifies the spirit of Kingdom Reformation, Revisionist Reformation
